Just a "Hello, World for Servlet"

I have made a default installation of the Sun Java System Application Server 9.1 (on Fedora 5) to start writing Servlets - that worked excellent so far.

I need a running Hello World example of a Servlet. I think it's only a question of correct configuration in one the files of the directory /opt/SDK/domains/domain1/config/.

I realized so far I could add <servlet...> tags within the file "default-web.xml" but then the server doesn't find the class file and an error 404 is the result.

At the "applications/" directory I have created these files (Saw this path in [url removed, login to view]):

WEB-INF/

WEB-INF/[url removed, login to view]

WEB-INF/classes

WEB-INF/classes/test

WEB-INF/classes/test/[url removed, login to view]

WEB-INF/classes/test/[url removed, login to view]

Please get some additional infos on

[url removed, login to view]%21java#Servlet

Thank you.

Hi, I checked the url you have provided, and I found the error you have is related with your [url removed, login to view] file. Your are saying the servlet class is: [url removed, login to view] but your servlet class really is: test.HelloWorld. Lisää
