I am looking for a native Japanese speaker, with professional translation skills as well as awareness of popular world brand names (Examples: Christian Dior, Lancôme, Giorgio Aramani, Clinique, Chanel, Gucci, etc...) to translate a list of 1000 of those brands from English to Japanese, to be used on Rakuten Ichiba (Japan).
I know that I can use Google Translate or any other online translation service to produce the intended results, but I am concerned of the following:
- The produced results won’t be accurate.
- Even if accurate, there is a possibility that there is more than one result, and I want to use a human translator who can verify which result is more popular/fitting for mass understanding among Japanese people, as people will search for these words on Rakuten and it is very important the spelling will be matching with their input.
- Some brands produce different meaning in English when translated backwards from their Japanese output to English. Translation software is not clever to eliminate this problem. Only a Japanese human speaker who is familiar with this task can determine the right words to be used to each brand.
I am willing to receive a one-time offer with a fixed price for the entire task. No hourly rate. Completion can be flexible, with an initial goal of getting the job done within a few days up to one week if necessary.
Please send me serious offers only, and only if you are Japanese (I won’t accept offers from translation companies who claim to be able to translate to Japanese without using real Japanese people). To be very clear: Only individuals can apply for this position.
I wish you my best regards,
The director of Perfume Brands Limited
