I would like to create an iPhone version of the program I have already created for Palm. It is basically like a dictionary.
1. When the user launches the application for the first time, the application generates a random 10-digit ID and displays it. The user must send me a mail with this ID, and I'll generate an activation key, using a simple mathematical algorithm (such as dividing the second digit by the fifth and adding the seventh). The application will have the same algorithm and will compare the answer provided by the user (that he will have received by mail) to the proper answer. If the two are identical, the program launches.
2. If the user has already entered the activation key once (provided it is the right one), the program will start automatically, unless it has been more than a year it has been installed on the iPhone (to force the user to download a recent database version)
3. The program shows a list of drugs (about 2000) which must be searchable.
4. When the user choses a drug, the program displays another page with the dosage of that drug.
A Palm version of this same project can be seen on [url removed, login to view]
If I am satisfied with this program, I will work with the programmer to create many more option for the program.
