Kelly Blue Book, NADA, Edmunds, Blackbook and many sources provide Vehicle Pricing in USA to the sellers of the cars. Sellers need to upload either VIN# and/or Make/ Model/ Trim/ Miles/ Color etc and these sites provider the responses. Kagle also provides lots of vehicle data.
Since I am going out of town over weekend, I am posting this project for R&D/ Web Research
- In next 48 hours do google research and other companies research to find out what kind of data is available through API? Instead of building, I will integrate with them and get their reports/APIs/ intelligence.
Check APIs/ Documentation/ Web Sites etc. and build a report with details like what data is available? Whether it is free or paid? What information it gets and what it provides (some sample output of APIs will be fine).
Goal is for us to predict the price range (lowest - highest) which seller can expect in their location (zip code in USA) for their car (VIN# or Make/Model/Trim/Miles/ Year - we will have both so you can use these for API providers)
Since I get pathetic results from experience, I am going to award this to two individuals at a low cost. However, I will pay $20-$30 as a bonus if your report is professional. complete, with accurate research/ sources, examples meeting my needs.
If you can find more sources which are impacting vehicle pricing in a given ZIP code in USA, I will like those sources as well.
