Hi WiredCompanyCEO, This is quite similar to a project I delivered last week, so I can jump straight into execution. Ready to start immediately. Two technical questions: 1) Are we protecting the USB‑C cable/plug (connector head + strain relief) or the wall‑charger brick? Please share target connector overmold L×W×H and cable OD range. 2) Opening method: one‑piece living‑hinge clamshell with snap‑latch, or two‑piece slide/quarter‑turn? Required cycle life, max thickness/weight, and any UL94 spec? Suggestions: Use a PC/ABS core with TPU (Shore A ~85) overmold for impact resistance, grip, and scratch hiding; if cost/weight is primary, single‑shot PP with a living hinge is viable. Engineer for variance using USB‑IF clearances, a floating compression channel for 2.6–4.5 mm cable ODs, radiused anti‑kink geometry, and a wear‑resistant latch surface. Action Plan: Phase A — Review your 2D + requirements, define tolerances/CMF. Phase B — Build two 3D concepts (clamshell, slide‑lock) and quick prints; fit‑check on standard USB‑C plugs/chargers; select. Phase C — DFM: snap/latch calcs, draft/texture, GD&T; deliver STEP + drawings; prototype and iterate once. It will fit standard USB‑C, and I will resolve the opening mechanism to assemble around the charger. hi Sir, Ujang From Indonesia - Must be durable and able to withstand everyday use--we could use TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer), i can refer you to my colleague in China to make that product. - Should be lightweight and portable, ideal for travel--as long as it made from rubber/plastic, it should be light enough, - Design should be compact and easy to use--got it - Aesthetic appeal for retail market is a plus--instead of spiral, what about to use zig zag half round? - U need to turn our 2d model into a 3d model--it should be easy - must fit on the standard usbc charger--got it - needs a functional way to open it, so we can put it around the charger--what about make it half portion with snap design? best regards Ujang
