I’m preparing a limited re-issue of an album I released back in 2006. The original master is long gone and, sadly, two of the musicians have since passed away, so this pressing means a lot to me. I have only a high-quality digital copy of the record; you would start from that file, apply light sonic polishing—subtle EQ and level balancing rather than a full remaster—and then prepare everything for commercial replication. The goal is 300–500 professionally pressed CDs. I want the discs, tray cards and booklet to look exactly the way they did in 2006, so please keep the cover art and liner notes intact. If you need to rebuild print-ready files from scans or supplied PDFs, do so without altering the design. Deliverables • Gently enhanced, replication-ready 16-bit / 44.1 kHz WAVs • Print-ready CMYK files for disc face, booklet and tray card (matching the original layout) • Final glass-master or DDP image plus proofs ready for the plant I’ll supply the digital album and high-resolution artwork files I have on hand as soon as we start. Let me know your preferred workflow, any specs the plant might need, and an estimated timeline for turning this around.

This re-issue needs careful preservation rather than a modern overhaul, so I’d keep the original 2006 character intact while gently balancing EQ and levels and rebuilding any artwork only where necessary for clean commercial replication. I have experience with print production, booklet/tray layouts, CMYK preparation, and packaging artwork, and I can coordinate the visual files around the replication plant’s specs. Portfolio: https://www.freelancer.com/u/Humaumair12 For the artwork and replication-ready package, I’d estimate around 4 to 6 days once all source files are available. Warm Regards, Huma

Hello, I reviewed your CD reissue requirements, and the core challenge is preserving the original 2006 presentation while carefully preparing the audio and artwork for modern commercial replication without unintentionally changing the character of the release. I would work from your digital master with restrained EQ and level balancing, while rebuilding or preparing the disc, booklet, and tray card artwork in CMYK with the original layout, typography, and liner notes preserved. I have worked on similar audio restoration, print preparation, and physical media production projects and can share relevant examples once we connect in chat.

Consider this ✔️The key here is achieving a polished sound while preserving the original feel of the album. A common issue is maintaining the integrity of the cover art and liner notes during the process. I understand the importance of getting the sound right for a vintage release and ensuring the visual elements reflect the original design. What usually matters most here is that subtle EQ adjustments can greatly enhance the listening experience while keeping the nostalgic element intact. Your need for replication-ready WAVs, print-ready files, and a final glass-master is clear, ensuring a professional finish that honors your project’s legacy. With years of experience in audio engineering and graphic design, I've helped bring classic albums back to life. You can expect high-quality CDs that resonate with fans and preserve the original spirit of your work. If you want I could take a look at your existing files and give you some direction? Best, Kurt.
