Honestly, first: I have no book design portfolio to send. Judge me on a sample of your own manuscript instead. Two corrections to your brief. 1. Print PDF and reflowable EPUB are not two exports of one layout. A reflowable EPUB has no pages, no bleed, no gutter, no page numbers, no fixed line breaks, and is RGB. Export the print file straight to EPUB and you get orphaned page furniture and broken lines on a phone. One styled source, two separate outputs. 2. "Correct bleed" is likely wrong here. Bleed only applies if art runs off the trim edge; a B&W text interior needs none. What matters is gutter, which scales with page count: 0.375" under 150pp, 0.5" to 300, 0.625" to 500. Get it wrong and text vanishes into the spine. Phase one, INR 12,500, 3 days: your front matter plus one full chapter, real paragraph/character styles, master pages, running heads, correct trim and gutter, print PDF and EPUB both. Phase two flows the whole book, priced on page count. Source files are yours either way. What is the word count and trim size, and does the interior carry images or tables?
