We are looking for an experienced illustrator to create a single, detailed scene-based illustration with a hand-rendered watercolor look and feel, delivered in Adobe Illustrator format. This is not a flat vector or infographic-style project. The final artwork must feel organic, warm, textured, and human, similar to a hand-painted illustration, while still being production-ready. Scope of Work & Deliverable • One single illustration (landscape orientation) • Artboard size: A3 landscape • Final file: Adobe Illustrator (.AI) • Style: Hand-rendered watercolor / painterly (not clean vector) Illustration Concept (High Level) The illustration will depict a real-world service environment with the following elements combined into one cohesive scene: • A tall outdoor sign structure displaying a list of values • A service forecourt with multiple lanes • Team members interacting naturally with customers • A building structure in the mid-ground • A large service vehicle in the background The goal is to visually communicate human values through people and the environment, not through diagrams or icons. Style Requirements (Very Important) This project requires illustration craftsmanship, not stock visuals. Must Have: • Watercolour / hand-painted feel • Organic textures (paper grain, brush bleed, uneven edges) • Slight imperfections (intentional, controlled) • Warm, human, observational character styling • Painterly skies, foliage, and ground Must NOT Have: • Flat vector fills • Clean corporate illustration look • Infographic or icon-based visuals • Stock illustration marketplace style • Overly polished or symmetrical designs If your work looks like something that could be found on Shutterstock or generic illustration libraries, this project is not a fit. Technical Notes • Illustrator-only output required • Hybrid workflows are acceptable (e.g. raster textures embedded/masked inside Illustrator) • The final artwork must look hand-painted, even if built inside Illustrator • Typography will be minimal and integrated into the illustration Process Expectations • Initial rough sketch for composition approval • One refined illustrated direction (not multiple styles) • Iterative refinement based on feedback • Focus on craftsmanship rather than speed What to Include in Your Proposal Please share: • 2–4 examples of watercolour or painterly illustration work • Brief explanation of your process for achieving watercolor effects • Confirmation that you can deliver a clean, organized ,AI file Proposals without relevant illustration samples will not be considered. Final Note • This is not a graphic design task. • This is a hand-crafted illustration project. We are specifically looking for illustrators who are comfortable breaking vector perfection to achieve warmth and realism.
