Photography Website Update

I have a pretty old WP - Template for my photography homepage at the moment.

It is not responsive and therefore not properly working on mobil devices or tablets. I would like to update my website, so that it works for mobile phones and tablets.
As I like the design I would really want to keep it, so I found the same template, but in an updated version:

And it would also be good to know if this templates makes sense to use on an updated version of WP.
