I need a straightforward WordPress build that reflects our commercial printing firm’s classic, professional image. Homepage The landing page should immediately show our company name, a clean carousel or grid of marquee projects, and a simple contact sign-up form (Mailchimp, WPForms, or similar—open to what you prefer). The layout must stay uncluttered, with typography and color choices that feel timeless rather than trendy. Portfolio Page A second page will house the full portfolio. Every project must display: • Project name • Its application type • A thumbnail or hero image that the visitor can click to open a modal or dedicated sub-page containing a short description and an expanded photo gallery. Projects should be grouped “By project type,” so filtering or clearly separated sections will help users find what they need quickly. Core expectations • Build on vanilla WordPress—no proprietary theme frameworks that lock us in. • Mobile-responsive and fast-loading; keep plugins lean. • Gutenberg blocks are fine, but the content has to remain easy for our staff to update without touching code. • Basic on-page SEO structure (H1–H3 hierarchy, alt text, clean permalinks). • Final hand-off: theme files (if customized), any custom CSS/JS, and a short Loom or PDF walkthrough so my in-house team can add future projects on their own. Acceptance criteria 1. Homepage shows company name, featured project section, and a working contact form. 2. Portfolio page lists all sample entries grouped by project type; each image opens to more details and additional photos. 3. Site passes Google Lighthouse mobile performance at 80+ and has no critical accessibility errors. 4. All content is editable from WordPress admin without custom code changes.
