We're a Healthcare staffing company in the Atlanta, Georgia area. We have a manual process that needs to be automated. This process involves manipulating an input file using reference data from three other reference files to produce an output file. Each of the files is a CSV/XLS file.
There are three(3) reference datasets -- call them REF-A, REF-B, and REF-C. There is an input dataset in another CSV/XLS file (INPUT) which must be manipulated to create the output file (OUTPUT).
The current process involves adding spreadsheet columns, moving data around, inserting lookups to the reference files, and manipulating some fields (eg. adding or removing hyphens from social security number, searching field for a substring, etc. All of these things can be done programmatically while parsing the input file.
What I envision is a password protected web application that allows the three reference files to be uploaded. Then, an input file is uploaded, click a button which causes the file to be processed and provides a link to download the output file. The process can be repeated over and over using additional input files.
I'm open to implementation discussion and various architectural/implementation strategies. But, I have a strong preference to a server less implementation using AWS Lambda functions and S3 object store. Could be implemented in Java, Node.js or python. Can use other AWS services but would like a minimal cost approach.
