Hay there JoeMcKie,
Ill try keep this short. I have been running a Minecraft server for the past year, and me and a few admins have decided to expand into a whole non-profit gaming community, called Melonbrew. Here is our currant rather badly made site.. [url removed, login to view]
Thing is, my web skills are limited at best. We need to develop a whole new website thats friendly, simple and inviting so folks will come play our games! Thats exactly how your portfolio site looks to me! (Although the links on your menu bar seem to be broken...)
What we need is a nice landing page with links, pictures and perhaps even a video or two, that will show off all the servers we are running and a bit about em.
Server info pages would also be great for showing more info, news and pictures.
We are planing to run the forum off vanilla forums so it would be awesome if a theme could be designed for that that fits in to the rest of the site.
Finally a web store that lets people donate for some extras ingame and updates a mysql database. (Nothing too fancy.)
Can you think of anything else a gaming community website should have?
Im not totally sure how it should look and feel, I was thinking along the lines of Art-Deco mixed with the Windows Metro UI, but thats just me. "Clean modern design with great little features".
The other thing is, we are kinda broke, servers cost allot of money. So I can only offer a small payment, and perhaps VIP on all servers? Let me know if you are interested?
All the Best, Daniel
