I would like a quote on a website project that is to provide convenience when booking and organising events. My vision is to have an Australia wide site with thousands of vendors. I want this to be the 'GO TO' place for people to visit when they are planning an event.
- A structured, but straight forward system where guests & vendors create their own profile. Vendors profiles will be more in depth, they need the ability to upload their own photos, their bank details, the space to write about their business etc. Their phone number will not be displayed on their profile. There will be a 'contact' button where the guest can message the vendor through the site (similar to Airbnb)
- A terms and conditions/ policy agreement will need to be signed by all vendors and guests upon creating a profile.
- A rating system for the vendors (like with Airbnb)
- A blog page where monthly weddings are featured. This is a good way to expose some of the vendors (e.g the brides dress, the cake, the venue, the photography will all be on show and all vendors will be tagged)
Very similar to Airbnb payment system. Payment is made through customer and the site, where it is held until the service is completed. Upon completion of the service, the site takes their percentage (e.g 5%) and send the rest of the funds through to the vendor.
Preferences, things I like from other websites:
I want the site to look modern, appealing and eye catchy. I also want it to be easy to navigate.
I like with Airbnb how the site immediately directs you to either 'search for a location' or 'become a host' There is only 2 types of customers. The ones offering their house/ or room (the vendors) or the ones looking for a room (the guests)
I like how they have the map of Australia on the [url removed, login to view] website. Nice and simple, you just pick your location, which then populates all the vendors in that area.
