A school project
Features of the system
- Delivers computer based tests
- Biometric authentication of examiners and students (integrate finger print scanners)
- Easy to use backend for examiners to set questions
- Activity log that logs every activity on the system
The whole idea is this; many institutions using Computer Based Testing (CBT) system have encountered certain challenges with respect to management.
Management on the part of the examiners (responsible for setting questions) refers to setting questions and delivering certain examiner duties.
The proposed system would have an interface and functionalities that are simple to use and helps the examiners carry out their responsibilities smoothly.
Survey shows that the transfer of questions from examiners to personnel’s who then populate the question bank in most cases leads to a breach in integrity (i.e dubious personnel’s sell questions to desperate examinees).
In implementing a system that curbs this issue, security to and for the system becomes a point of consideration as quite a number of people now have access to the system against existing systems where just very few trained persons have access to the system. At this point, an extra layer of security is required. This is where biometric authentication comes to play.
