I have a project proposal structure (Proposal [login to view URL]) which I need to be turned into the template.
The idea is for the Sales Manager to send the proposal inputs after a client meeting (required inputs are marked with red in the Proposal [login to view URL]), so the Admin person can quickly update the template and finalize the proposal.
Based on my quick research Content control in Word 2016 allows quick navigation through the document (arrow down automatically moves you to the following content element) and replaces the block with the text as soon as the person starts typing. (Please refer to [login to view URL] for reference how it should work)
- keep fonts and styles across the document
- leverage content control to break the document in the separate element to enable quick navigation to the elements that require the update (marked with red in Proposal [login to view URL]) and quick updates)
Assume you will need to separate each red item into a separate element, as well as create elements for headers, paragraphs, etc.
At the end of the day, I need a Word template that is easy and quick to update. So if there is a better way than content control, happy for suggestions.
