We required a website to be built for us in WordProdpress
We are a small company working in the IT space providing high quality services in a narrow niche. We establish long term relationship with clients. More details and a link to our current website will be provided to you.
Objective. A website that can be maintained in Word Process by us directly, when making smaller changes, and is easy to maintain by a web developer if structural changes is required.
Please provide references of other or similar work you have done.
The decision to proceed with the project, will depend on the financial implications, weighed against the budget we have in mind.
Requirements:
1) Recommend a WordPress template suitable for our requirements. (Preferably a free template or one that has a fixed (no recurring cost), not too expensive.
2) Build website on WordPress.
3) Include all SEO elements in the setup. You will be required to upfront list what SEO objectives you will cover in the design/layout.
4) Add attractive and appealing graphics. We will provide about 50% of graphics from current web site. Some new graphics required.
5) Navigation Buttons in top: Home, Services, Resources, About Us, Contact Us. The Service Navigation Button should show 5 services to select from, when hovering over.
Resources Button should break down to 1 item: News.
6) Home Page:
We will provide some graphics from our current web site.
Will need visually attractive layout and graphics.
Essentials about 5 Service areas, hover over showing more detail.
Hovering over abilities should not obscure low level details from Search Engine Crawlers.
Need a bottom section that show 3 graphics / photos in a rotating style.
7) Service Areas: Each one of the 5 Service Areas should have its own page.
Each Service are will have se section that pulls (for that service area) the 3 most recent articles subjects and introductions, with a more... link to read the full article and see all other articles related to the service area.
8) Resources: News: Will show all blog articles. Article will be displayed sorted with most recent in top. Will show the Subject, Introduction, and More... to read the full article.
9) Article Management area: We want an area that we privately can login to, where we can enter a new article to be published. (Blog Style).
Each Article will have a dropdown option to select one of the 5 Service Area the article relates to.
The Blog articles will appear in the News page (Under Resources), mentioned before.
The 3 most recent articles of each of the 5 service areas, will be listed in each of the relevant Service Pages. The mentioned option is hence important to filter the articles by in each corresponding Service page.
Each article must be entered in a boiler template consisting of sections for Subject, Publish Date, Remove Date, Intro area, Contents area, Footer.
Articles should be editable.
10) Photo / graphics management area. Require Private Login by us. Maintain photos that rotate on home pages and About Us. 2 different sets of photos.
11) About Us: Ability to show rotating photos. Some static photos.
12) You will be required to install WordPress in the console of our new hosting provided. This is quite simple and well documented by the provider.
13) You can make other recommendations, but please separately indicate the costs of such items.
