A website is required to mimic the iGoogle interface. It will be similar to that of ClickUni. It should be customised for each university in the UK (or have the ability to be duplicated for each university - this would involve a login box for each universities webmail system).
It must have 3 columns, and the ability for users to add and remove widgets as they choose - it should allow for Google widgets to be selected too, so a page must be designed for users to select which widgets they would like to have. Also it would be nice to have the option to change the colour scheme of the site.
The search functionality of ClickUni would also be needed ie a search bar which lets the user search wikipedia, google, [url removed, login to view] etc...
Obviously once a user selects the widgets/colour scheme they like it must be saved. So a user registration system is needed, linked to a backend MySQL database hopefully utilizing a facebook global login.
Fortunately the code does not need to be written from scratch. There is a tutorial on [url removed, login to view] which gives a good bit of code to start with.
Please contact me with previous examples of work, and a time frame. The project is urgent and needs to be developed as soon as possible.
Also I am currently working on another project which I am looking for a full time ruby on rails developer. Please visit.. [url removed, login to view] for a full description. If you are interested please message me.
