We sell Allen Bradley electrical parts. I want a website mockup which features a cartoon character which you will develop. Both website and character are to be styled as if an advertisement from the 1940s or 1950s. Probably only two colors, not too flashy. I have uploaded a couple of files with vintage ads for reference, as well as color photos of a few characters who might fit the build.
You are to draw a character named ABguy. ABguy is an electrical engineer. Probably middle-aged. In shape. Always upbeat and ready to help. Very knowledgeable of the parts he sells. And he lives at www.ABguy.com.
Please provide a mockup of an index page using our new character. Upon selection of you as a provider, I’ll get you to lay out a shopping page, a support page, a policies page, a sell to us page, and a technical tools page incorporating different poses of our character helping the customer in the various activities. Everything on the pages will be hand-drawn. Though your mockup will not necessarily have all buttons etc drawn, ABguy should be well-developed. Your bid will be for the entire job. At this point I am not looking for website development; just a concept and artwork.
Terms will be escrow only and payment will only be made through GAF.
I really like the style of the [url removed, login to view] attachment. Also please pay special attention to the sales character/store environment in the untitled fild as well as the engineer character in untitled 4. The cartoon ABguy should be hand drawn in one of these styles. I like the two color ads; if we do decide to use a colored ad, it should be in the style of the "untitled" ad. I would like the mockup to have no halftones or shading and really need to see a sample of what you have in mind before I select someone. I am not a distributor of Allen Bradley thus cannot use their logo.
I will not choose a provider who has not first shown me a mockup which demonstrates that we have similar visions for this project. Though I have no vision of the final product, I do have a very specific style in mind and want to feel comfortable that the provider I choose can deliver it. I'm not looking for free work; this project entails quite a bit more than the initial illustrations and working from an acceptable proposal will make the remainder of the project very easy and minimize the number of revisions necessary for completion.
