I’m ready to commission a complete CAD package for a dog-inspired quadruped robot that can be opened either in Fusion 360 or SolidWorks. The goal is a mechanically realistic design that I can export straight into CoppeliaSim for gait testing and then send to a 3-printer for fabrication without extra re-work. Key details I must see in the model: the four legs should replicate a natural walking gait, not running or jumping, and every joint needs realistic ranges of motion that match common hobby servos. On top of the torso I want a single upper arm that ends in a five-finger, human-like robotic hand—we’re after detailed anatomical shaping rather than a simple claw—so the fingers, thumb, palm contours and basic knuckle geometry have to be there. A small camera will eventually sit in the palm, so leave a cavity and cable path for that. Because I’ll print mostly in PLA and PETG, wall thicknesses, tolerances, and joint clearances should reflect standard desktop FDM capabilities. Think screw-together or snap-fit modules so I can assemble the whole robot without specialized fixtures.
