License Plate Recognition

Project is capturing the vehicle images from 2 video cameras mounted in front and rear positions in a vehicle and feeding them to laptop in vehicle.

The programme installed in the laptop must be able to ocr read the plate number of the vehicles and put them in a data base, with time stamp and gps location and then query database for any previous sightings of this plate and take appropriate action as per design specs. The operator of the vehicle must be able to look at the history any plates the system advises has been seen previously as well as enter any plates of vehicles into the database manually.

At the end of the day the operator needs to be able to download results to an external device and hand device to staff who will then connect device to hardware that will in turn query all data from the device with all other devices used that day as well as historically and take apprpropriate action as per design specs.
