Flex Flash expert needed. Please only bid on this if you really are an expert at designing Flash applications using Flex.
The following tasks will be to edit/add to a fully functional Flex designed charting application. The program is just about ready for our users but we need a few things added and modified before release.
We will provide full details of the tasks that need to be completed and give you access via CVS. All of the written instructions will be in English. In case we need to talk to discuss more detailed tasks we can speak to you in English, Chinese, Russian or Lithuanian. Please specify in your bid description which language you prefer.
If you can provide the solutions to the following tasks, we will gladly provide you with several other more challenging tasks.
User signup screens:
A Flash design expert is needed to help us with the layout and design of our “signup” and “Login” screens. The current version is fully functional and uses a php backend to interface with a user management program. The screens were designed as pop-up style screens but may work better as transitional style screens. Use your experience with Flash to present the screens with a natural flow and elegance offered by Flash. All of the coding for the backend is complete, we just need your design expertise to present the screens in a pleasing manner.
The second part of the signup screen will be new. After the user completes the initial signup screen, we need a second screen to offer products from advertisers. All of the code will be provided that is needed to display the advertisers as well as how to POST the selections by the user. Your job will be to create the second page view and integrate the code provided to you which manages the advertisers and the user selections.
Page count based on user screen views:
With HTML pages every time a user clicks on a link the whole page refreshes, including banners, and it gets counted as a “page view” in the site statistics. However, when a website is based on the Flash player the user can view multiple pages within the site and this only gets counted as one “page view”. For advertising reasons I need to send a message to the server based on certain user actions that count that action as a page view. This will also need to trigger ads like Google Adsense to refresh. Specific actions (clicks) will be detailed so you will know what needs to be counted as a page view. Because our site is supported by advertisers we need show our advertisers all of the pages a user is clicking on rather than just the initial load of the swf file.
meta tags that can be read by search engines:
The meta tags used on our HTML/php site do not seem to be working on our flash site. Although the meta tags are loaded in the HTML wrapper for the swf file, Google does not seem to be reading it. You need to add our key words/meta tags where Google can read them so that targeted Adsense ads are displayed. This of course needs be visible by search engines so the swf page gets indexed correctly as well.
The current charting application has been designed using all default settings. The existing CSS needs to be saved as it is and a second CSS file needs to be created with the specified colors we supply you. The CSS choices then need to be added to the application so the user can select which CSS to apply to the charting application.
The last task for this project is the default “tool tip” needs to be modified to match the new CSS file you create. It seems the display and behaviors of the tool tip could also be improved by an experienced flash designer. Your suggestions are welcome with this.
Thank you for an interest in our project. Since we are looking for a Flex/Flash expert, please tell us what experience you have or reference a site that shows us your skills.
