Flash/ActionScript Application Development

Flash Developer required, with strong ActionScript capabilities, to create a dynamic navigation system for a corporate website. This invitation is to cost either: :: Development of Flash Application for Navigation :: Design of Graphics and Photographs for Finished Application :: Both of the above The flash application shall provide a Flash Movie, scripted in ActionScript, which will allow for smooth and dynamic navigation around a corporate site. The site will comprise of 18 different pages, which will be reached by navigating squares arranged in a grid of 6 rows and 3 columns. For each of the 18 pages, the entire backdrop of the grid shall be a single high-quality "coporate" photographic image. Conceptually, there will be a larger 6x3 grid of 18 different corporate photographs, for each section. The images must be easily changed, from their JPG sources - they will be loaded dynamically, not embedded in the Flash movie as library objects. A "marker", shall follow the mouse as it moves over the grid, outlining the grid square that will be selected on pressing the mouse button. The currently selected grid square shall be indicated by applying a coloured tint over the underlying photographic image. On selecting a grid square by clicking, there will be 2 pieces of movement occur: The marker shall slide from it's currently selected square, to the new square. The marker shall travel along the x-axis and the y-axis only, travelling the shorter of the 2 distances first. On reaching it's destination square, the original marker will have faded, and the new marker location will be the full tinted square. At the same time as the marker is moving, the underlying photographic images will also pan and slide, also along the x-axis and the y-axis. The speed of movement shall be such that the marker and the underlying images reach their x- and y- destinations at the same time, by travelling at different relative speeds. A title for each section will slide into place, in the bottom right hand corner of the application, to arrive at the destination point as the markers and images finish panning. The application must support the easy changing of: 1. The underlying background images 2. The width and height of the grid squares 3. The titles for each section 4. Colours, for the tint on the marker We require the supply of the source .fla, so that this application can be integrated within the rest of the site, which will also be Flash based. We would invite introductions from developers who can demonstrate the necessary design and coding skills for this application. Samples of existing/similar work, or quick prototypes demonstrating an understanding of what is required for the above brief, would strengthen applications. It would be anticipated that a clean separation of design and code be achieved, by keeping all ActionScript code in external files, as per Macromedia Best Practice guidelines.
