I’m looking for an experienced Final Cut Pro editor to work on social media adverts and promo content for Indiepalooza, a well-established touring live music brand playing to 1,000–2,000 people most weekends across the UK - Tributes to The Killers, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Sam Fender etc I am looking to edit together ads - to attract buyers - of footage of the festival I already have. [login to view URL] [login to view URL] This role is strictly hourly-paid. You must be comfortable working on an hourly rate and stating that rate clearly when applying. This is ongoing work, not a one-off job. We will begin with a paid trial of approximately 16 hours, billed hourly, with a view to moving onto a monthly retainer of 10–20 hours if it’s a good fit. All footage is already shot. This role is about editorial judgement, pacing, reliability, and workflow compatibility. ABSOLUTE NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS Do not apply unless all of the following are true: You edit exclusively in Final Cut Pro You work on macOS You have perfect written and spoken English Clear, fluent, professional communication is essential. You are fully comfortable sharing the complete Final Cut Pro project file (.fcpbundle) This is mandatory. You are experienced using Google Drive and transferring large volumes of footage You are willing to coordinate plugins, transitions, fonts, and settings so that: the project opens cleanly on my system timelines, effects, and structure are identical there are no missing media or plugin issues You are happy to guide me briefly on setup where required so both systems behave identically If you are used to delivering exports only, this role is not suitable. THE WORK Short-form social media adverts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) High-energy live music and crowd footage Music-driven edits where rhythm and timing matter Multiple aspect ratios derived from a master edit Clean, organised timelines and sensible project structure WORKING PROCESS & PAY This role is paid on an hourly basis only You must state your hourly rate in your application Initial paid trial: approximately 16 hours, billed hourly Before starting the trial, there will be a 15-minute video call to confirm: communication quality expectations workflow compatibility that we will work well together If successful, this will move to an ongoing hourly retainer of 10–20 hours per month Fully remote WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR Strong editorial instincts and pacing Experience editing ads or promotional content Reliability and clarity in communication Someone comfortable working independently once the brief is clear Bonus (not essential): experience with live music, events, or touring brands HOW TO APPLY Please include all of the following: A short introduction about yourself Explicit confirmation that you: 1. use Final Cut Pro 2. are happy sharing full Final Cut Pro project files and have done so in the past 3.
