Reformat excel files in a format such that they can be uploaded to Quickbooks.
For each sheet (card ) of each workbook ( monthly statement)
1)Unmerge all cells in sheet.
2)Expand unmerged columns
3)Convert data to text so reference number is not lost as an exponential.
4)Expand data using text to column where necessary.
5)Move expanded data to like-columns to form only 10 columns: transaction date, post date, reference number, transaction description, exchange, currency, Amount, Account, Location
There are 5 workbooks. One for each month. Each workbook has 4-7 sheets. Each sheet has 2-50 transactions.
6)Add a new column. Strip off the location in the description(eg. VA, CA, WA ) and paste into the column:
7)Move the exchange rate to the corresponding column for the transaction of the row above.
There are 5 workbooks.
