I'm looking for someone interested in taking on this freelancer role ideally at a day rate of around 3-4 days a week or equivalent hours for 2 months initially with scope to extend the contract likely. Multiple candidates doing fewer hours may be considered but we're ideally wanting one person for this high profile project.

The work will require working for a small team contracted to analyse market potential for a leading engineering supplier who is looking to understand their global service opportunity in detail. This will entail research into site locations and numbers of sites per market/country (cement mills, oil & gas facilities, paper mills etc) and also to help supporting data mining on large volumes on installation, order book and service data. Someone with an excellent aptitude in Excel as well as comfortable with end-market desk research would fit the task well. Experience in CRM (ideally Salesforce) would be an advantage but not a necessity.
I am looking for someone with a track-record in this type of research (ideally in an engineering B2B environment) as quality of information and ability to work remotely is essential. Regular Skype calls to discuss progress and potential modifications to methodology based on client requirement will be required.
A full project description and briefing with more defined deliverables will be provided on signing of an NDA to ensure customer-client confidentiality. UK based would be ideal but this work-load can be conducted anywhere - experience in B2B research as described above is the most vital requirement.
