I work for a solar company and my job is to monitor all of our projects and make sure they are running properly. I am looking to complete a web based project which will be displayed in my operations room to monitor all of our systems.
The problem is that we use 3-4 different solar site controllers: AP Systems, Solar Edge and Also Energy - all of which have their own display tools. But each of these manufacturers also offers us a different way of being notified of system performance and errors. One offers an embeded link, one offers an API utilizing JSON/JSONP scripts, and another simply sends email notices. What I need is a way to funnel the information from these different notification techniques into one program, preferably Excel, which will then in turn will be used to drive the creation of our front end on-screen display. The display shows graph/charts and also hooked up to a GIS map with color coded pins to show us error situations in real or near-real time. (We already have a prototype of this (attached) but are open for suggestions.)
I am looking for someone to write some code, or otherwise find a way to have the various external systems talk to Excel and pick out any error codes and production values. I imagine this will require some sort of VB or Java script.
