For this project we want someone to extract data from betfair basic historical data packages into csv files. Only soccer packages will be used.
The files are packed as TAR files. The files with the data are in JSON format. Since the packed files may contains 1000 of files itself we would like to have a user friendly method for handling these TAR files. We do not want to sit and unpack these all the time but instead just simply download the TAR-file, run the program to get a csv-file.
The data should be presented in the csv file the following way.
- No event should be display multiple times, all markets are displayed in one row for each event (so no diplicated events occur)
- The following collumns should be displayed and seperated accordingly:
- Date as: 2018-01-01 format
- Country (if possible)
- League (if possible)
- Home team name
- Away team name
- Market name (1, X, 2, O2,5 ; 0,5 first half etc)
- Last traded back price (blue)
- Last traded lay price (red)
The person should have worked with TAR/JSON before and may have done similar projekt in the past.
The program is created to work on windows. We may want a mac version as well but that will be a separated project, it will go to the same person if that is the case.
