Event Management Site:: PHP, MySQL, AJAX

PLEASE NOTE:

This project is based in Northampton, UK :: If you cannot commute, cannot relocate for 2 weeks (hotel provided) or live abroad, please do not respond as we only have 16 days to complete the project in-house.

We also ask that you be 100% fluent in English as you will be in meetings and talking in groups throughout the project, your written English must also be excellent.

We need an experienced and local(ish) developer. We have quite specific requirements, but do not be faised we are a really easy going company to work for. We just need to make sure we get the right people to

do the job. We have unfortunately been let down by a freelancer so are looking for excellent fast, accurate and very quick learning programmers/developers.

This project requires an immediate start in Northampton, UK. You will be required to work from our office 9am-6pm each day with the possiblity of working weekends and later than 6pm dependant on progress. If

you cannot work weekends but meet all our other requirements below please still get in touch.

We are looking for a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) programmer/developer to join our team. You will work closely with our Digital Development Manager throughout the whole development lifecycle.

The following is an extract from the technical specification document so gives a brief overview. This is a huge project and should not be under estimated on the complexity involved.

Imagine giving the user the ability to define every aspect of the system, from the fields displayed, to the colours to SQL that generates the custom the reports and emails while validating every aspect to

ensure the system doesn't crash. Take windows for example and allow the user to customise it depending on who is using the system and at what time of the day....

Sounds like fun to you? You're the right person for us! You must be able to come in for a quick interview with samples and be prepared to be tested on the spot to ensure we get the right person.

We are currently in stage 2 of 10 so the right candidate could have a lot of addition work in the future.

Section 1: Generic Information

The system will be referred to as TEB, The Event Builder

The Invitee will be taken as the end user, invited to an event organised by XXXX and all members of the group

Anyone within XXXX will be taken to be an admin user and not an invitee

These users will be split by the functions they are permitted to perform within the system on a per user basis

The simplicity we will assume only 2 user levels:

Super Admin – unrestricted access to all aspects of the system

Admin – restricted access based on their job function

Anyone within XXXX will be referred to as part of the development team.

Section 2: General overview of TEB

TEB is a complete online event scheduling, management and registration system.

TEB gives the admin users full control over every aspect of the event from the template used on the emails, to specific questions on each page of every registration site created. It will also give the admin

team the ability to create bespoke reporting tools on every element of the event from start to finish.

It will give the Admin’s the ability to manage the individual resources of each event for example allocating flights, hotels and meal requirements on a per-event, per invitee basis.

The events will allow the admin users to add and link the rotations and even specify sessions within each rotation if required. Each event, when created will start with a ‘default’ set of elements, i.e.

name, description and location and also allow the setup of a ‘default’ programme and settings for each event.
