Crucial considerations include aesthetics and minimal sound during operation. The motor used to create the cup holder would have to be able to support the weight of an 8 ounce drink in addition to the cup. It is also important that the device be self-contained and compact as it will sit on the client's armrest connected to their wheelchair. It should be powered by battery.
As this is a highly customized project, we assume that there will be several communications along the way to fully flesh out what is possible versus what is required.
