I have a bread-boarded prototype built around Dialog’s DA16600 Wi-Fi/BLE microcontroller that drives two ePaper displays and includes a small BMS for a single-cell Li-ion pack. It is time to turn this stack of jumper wires into a professionally laid-out PCB created entirely in KiCad. The board must replicate every feature of the prototype while adding proper power-management circuitry so the system can move smoothly between active, sleep and charging states. Clean routing for the high-current path of the BMS and the low-noise requirements of the ePaper lines is essential. Experience with the DA16600 reference design, its RF keep-out requirements and its programming/boot strapping options will be a strong advantage. What I will hand over • A complete schematic of the current prototype in PDF • Pin-maps, reference designs and mechanical envelope • Notes on measured current draw and power-down behaviour What I expect back • KiCad or EasyEDA schematic captured from my notes, with clearly-named nets • A 2-layer (or justified 4-layer) PCB layout that respects DA16600 RF guidelines and ePaper signal integrity • Verified Gerbers, BOM and pick-and-place files ready for JLCPCB or similar • Brief design report explaining component choices, power-management strategy and test points Please send a concise but detailed project proposal outlining your approach, estimated timeline and any similar boards you have designed—especially if they involved power-sensitive ePaper applications or the DA16600. I will review proposals quickly and am ready to move forward as soon as I see a solid plan.

Hello, I can convert your DA16600-based prototype into a clean, production-ready PCB in KiCad with robust power management and RF compliance. I will first capture your PDF schematic into a structured KiCad design with clear net naming and validated pin mapping. The PCB will be designed as a compact 2-layer (or 4-layer if justified) layout, ensuring proper RF keep-out, antenna clearance, and grounding per DA16600 guidelines. Special focus will be given to separating high-current BMS paths from sensitive ePaper signal lines to maintain stability and low noise. Power management will be optimized for seamless transition between active, sleep, and charging states, based on your measured data. Routing will follow best practices for impedance control, decoupling, and EMI reduction. All outputs will be manufacturing-ready, including Gerbers, BOM, and pick-and-place files compatible with JLCPCB. A concise design report will explain power strategy, component selection, and test-point accessibility. Timeline: 4–6 days depending on layer complexity. Regards, Engineer

I read your brief for the DA16600 ePaper board. Moving a Wi-Fi/BLE SoC from a jumper-wire breadboard to a production PCB requires strict RF and power discipline, and I need to point out a major hardware trap right away. You mentioned a 2-layer layout (or a justified 4-layer). Let me justify the 4-layer immediately. ePaper displays require noisy high-voltage boost circuitry to drive the ink. If you put that switching noise, a high-current Li-ion BMS, and the DA16600’s Wi-Fi antenna on a 2-layer board, the ground plane will severely fracture. The ePaper noise will couple into the RF path, and your Wi-Fi will constantly drop packets. Furthermore, the DA16600 has strict boot-strapping pin requirements. If the ePaper’s SPI lines are improperly shared with these strapping pins without isolation, the MCU will fail to boot. My Execution Plan: Strict 4-Layer Stackup: I will implement continuous internal ground and power planes to isolate the BMS and ePaper switching noise from the DA16600 RF keep-out zones. Deep Sleep Power Architecture: I will design the Li-ion BMS and LDOs to guarantee micro-amp sleep currents when the ePaper is statically holding an image and the Wi-Fi is sleeping. Turnkey KiCad Delivery: Fully routed native KiCad project, properly sequenced power-management schematic, JLCPCB-ready Gerbers, BOM, CPL, and a design justification report.

Best KiCad PCB Design Expert for DA16600 + ePaper Low-Power Hardware! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dear Client, The biggest risk in this project is not converting a breadboard into a PCB. It is carrying the prototype into layout without properly resolving RF keep-out, ePaper signal integrity, and power-state behavior across active, sleep, and charging modes. That is where careful hardware design matters. I would approach this by: 1. capturing a clean schematic from your prototype notes with well-structured nets, power domains, and test points 2. designing the PCB around the DA16600 RF requirements, BMS current path, and low-noise routing for the ePaper interfaces 3. delivering a production-ready package with Gerbers, BOM, pick-and-place, and a short design note explaining component choices and power-management strategy This keeps the first revision focused on a board that is not just functional, but stable, buildable, and easier to validate. Two questions: 1. Is your stronger priority lowest power in sleep, or fastest/worst-case stability during display updates and charging transitions? 2. Do you want the design kept to 2 layers unless clearly justified otherwise, or are you open to 4 layers if it reduces RF/power risk? If you message me, I can outline the cleanest first-step plan so the board moves from prototype wiring to a proper production-ready design. Best regards, Prat PCB Must Innovations
