Hi,I am building the DefendX Tactical Smartwatch. I need an expert hardware engineer to design the board completely from scratch—starting with component selection and schematics, all the way through 4-layer PCB layout and physical lab testing. Project Requirements (42×42 mm, 4-Layer Board): Core: ESP32-S3 (Compact module like the MINI series). Radios: Wi-Fi/BLE, Sub-GHz LoRa (e.g., SX1262), and GPS (e.g., SIM68M). Sensors: Biometrics (HR/SpO2 + Temp) placed wrist-facing on the bottom layer, plus a 9-axis IMU and Compass. Power & Storage: LiPo battery management (with a central cutout pocket on the PCB for the battery) and SPI NOR Flash. Your Scope of Work: BOM Selection: Pick reliable components that are actively in stock at JLCPCB/LCSC. Schematics: Design the circuit from scratch, ensuring proper power domains (3.3V/1.8V) and I2C/SPI bus stability. PCB Layout: 4-layer routing with strict RF keepouts and impedance matching. Hardware Bring-Up: You MUST be able to order PCBA prototypes to your own lab, power them on, verify voltages, and test basic USB/I2C communication before final delivery. Design Suggestions & References Welcomed: We strongly welcome any design suggestions, component/architecture improvements, or layout references you have from similar ultra-compact wearable or wireless products you’ve built in the past. If you are capable of this end-to-end turnkey design, please share your estimated cost and turnaround time. Also, to protect the project budget, if a schematic or layout mistake on your end causes the prototype to fail, do you agree to update the design files free of charge? Looking forward to your proposals and past portfolio references.

Hi, I can design the DefendX Tactical Smartwatch hardware from scratch, including component selection, schematic design, 4-layer PCB layout, BOM, RF-aware routing, prototype bring-up, and basic lab validation. The best solution is to first finalize the enclosure, battery size, display/interface needs, antenna positions, charging method, and sensor placement. Then I’ll design the ESP32-S3 core, LoRa, GPS, biometric sensors, IMU/compass, flash, LiPo charging/protection, 3.3V/1.8V power domains, I2C/SPI buses, USB, and RF matching with proper keep-outs and impedance control. I’m comfortable with compact wearable PCB design, ESP32-S3, SX1262 LoRa, GPS modules, HR/SpO2/temp sensors, IMU integration, LiPo power systems, 4-layer PCB routing, JLCPCB/LCSC BOM selection, RF layout practices, and prototype bring-up testing. Deliverables will include: * Component selection from JLCPCB/LCSC * Complete schematic * 4-layer PCB layout * RF keep-out and antenna guidance * Battery pocket PCB planning * BOM with part numbers * Gerber and drill files * Pick-and-place files * Assembly files * Basic bring-up test report * Voltage and USB/I2C verification * Design notes and handover files If any schematic or layout mistake from my side causes prototype failure, I will update the design files free of charge. I’ll focus on a compact, reliable, RF-safe wearable board ready for prototype manufacturing and testing. Best regards Ankit

I’ve built ultra-compact wireless boards before, and I know exactly where this kind of design usually breaks: RF keep-outs, power domain noise, and the battery cutout wrecking your ground plane. I’ll design it right the first time. Here's what I bring to this: → I’ve shipped compact ESP32-S3 designs with multiple radios, so I know how to isolate the SX1262 and SIM68M and keep your Wi-Fi/BLE clean. → I’ll handle the full stack — BOM selection, schematics, 4-layer layout, and bring-up — so you’re not coordinating between vendors. → I’ll order PCBA prototypes to my lab, power them on, verify voltages, and test USB/I2C before final delivery. → I’ll design for the battery cutout with proper power and ground routing, so it doesn’t compromise your board’s integrity. My approach: → First, I’ll lock the BOM with in-stock parts from JLCPCB/LCSC and build a schematic with solid power domains and bus stability. → Then I’ll route the 4-layer board with strict RF keep-outs and impedance matching, running DRCs before fab. → Finally, I’ll bring up the prototype, debug any issues, and hand over the final files with documentation. If the error is on my side in design then i am ready for free of charge. For this scope, the cost would be 13500 INR.

Namaste I understand you need a full hardware design for a 42 mm square smartwatch – component selection, schematic, 4‑layer PCB and lab verification. I will choose in‑stock parts from JLCPCB, create schematics with correct 3.3 V and 1.8 V domains, route RF keepouts and impedance, and order a prototype to verify power rails and USB/I2C before handoff. My experience includes ESP32 PCB layout, LoRa modules and wearable sensor boards and I have a lab for bring‑up testing. I can deliver the complete design in ten days for 30 000 INR including two prototype revisions. Do you prefer a single‑sided battery cutout or recessed pocket Will the GPS antenna be on top side or inside a cavity Any mechanical constraints for the watch case

I have hands-on experience in embedded hardware and firmware development, including a compact wearable product. I worked on an NFC-enabled wristband based on an nRF52-series MCU. My work included schematic design using OrCAD Capture, hardware interfacing, embedded firmware development, prototype testing, and board-level debugging. I have worked with STM32, ESP32, Realtek RTL876xx, and nRF52/nRF53 platforms, with practical experience in I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, GPIO, sensors, external SPI Flash, and wireless modules. I have also developed a custom STM32 bootloader and worked on internal/external Flash memory handling. For hardware validation, I have used oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, J-Link, and other debugging tools for board bring-up and interface verification. My wearable-device experience and combination of schematic design, embedded firmware, and hardware debugging are directly relevant to this project. I can contribute to component selection, schematic development, peripheral and power-interface design, prototype bring-up, and firmware-assisted validation of USB, I2C, SPI, sensors, and Flash.
