Hello everyone, I would like to offer you a micro project for people familiar with Arduino and electronics: Atari 2600 game cartridges dumper. Hardware setup: Arduino Uno + shift register ICs.
Atari cartridge is basically a memory chip with 13 address lines and 8 data lines. There is already a project available on Github ([url removed, login to view]) but it only uses 10 address lines out of 12 because Arduino Uno does not have enough pins so only small games can be dumped. It should be relatively easy to use two shift registers to process input from all the lines, and that's where I need your help.
For reference, there is another project called "Ardumpino" where a similar design, shift registers, is used to dump more complicated game cartridges (with more Data and Address lines). What I need is a minimalistic hardware setup involving only Arduino and shift registers.
I'll be happy to provide any additional information, and I have all the necessary parts to do troubleshooting on-the-fly. Serious freelancers only, no monkey business!
