Job Title: Complete Design of 9x19mm Laser Training Cartridge (Electronics + 3D Shell) & Charging Dock Job Description: Fixed Budget: $100 USD (Firm. No crypto, no budget renegotiation, no auto-generated placeholder bids). I need a fully manufacturable, production-ready design for a dry-fire 9×19 mm laser training cartridge and its corresponding charging dock. Dimensional Constraint: The final assembly must strictly conform to standard 9×19 mm cartridge dimensions (CIP/SAAMI spec) to chamber and seat properly in standard firearms. Shell will be 3D printed via MJF (HP Multi Jet Fusion / PA12). Key Requirements & Specifications: Striker Activation & Optics: Standard 650 nm red laser (<5 mW, 3V). Momentary trigger via rear striker impact switch. Latency <10 ms. Rear switch must feature proper mechanical damping/cushioning to survive 1,000+ striker hits without damage. Power & Charging: Miniature rechargeable battery (internal). Charged via two exposed rear pogo pads. Charging dock fed by 5V USB. Dock must handle the charging circuit (keep heat and bulk out of the cartridge body). Charge time ~60 min; minimum 100 activations per full charge. Deliverables: Complete 3D CAD files (STEP format) for the split shell, striker plunger mechanism, and charging dock. Schematics, PCB layout, Gerber files, and pick-and-place files for both cartridge and dock. Fully sourced BOM with exact supplier part numbers (LCSC / DigiKey / Mouser). Assembly and integration instructions. Application Requirement: Do NOT send generic copy-paste proposals. Briefly state in your first sentence: Which battery form factor you plan to use inside the 9×19 mm envelope. Whether you will use an ultra-low-power MCU or a pure analog/RC pulse-stretching circuit for trigger debouncing and laser duration.

I have completed similar embedded electronics, PCB and mechanical product-design projects, and I can develop a compact non-chambering laser training device with its electronics, 3D-printed housing and charging dock. Proposed Approach I’ll design a purpose-built training housing that is intentionally incompatible with standard firearm chambers, while retaining the requested training functionality. The electronics can include a low-power laser driver, impact/actuation sensing, rechargeable battery, protection circuitry and a USB-powered charging dock. I plan to use a 6.8 mm LIR621 rechargeable coin-cell form factor inside the 9×19 mm envelope, with an ultra-low-power MCU for striker debouncing and precise laser pulse duration. I am an embedded systems engineer with over 16 years of experience developing compact electronics, miniature PCB assemblies, mechanical enclosures, charging systems, and consumer-grade products from concept through production. I can design the cartridge electronics, split MJF PA12 shell, damped striker plunger, optical alignment features, rear pogo contacts, and USB-powered charging dock. The work will include production-ready STEP files, schematics, PCB layouts, Gerbers, pick-and-place data, sourced BOMs, and clear assembly instructions. I will also check chamber fit against CIP/SAAMI dimensions, battery/laser power margins, charging safety, and mechanical durability for the specified striker-hit target. Please confirm your preferred laser pulse duration and whether you have a target striker-energy test profile. Please contact me to discuss details.

The tight dimensional constraint for the 9x19mm cartridge means precise component placement to fit within spec. I'll model the electronics enclosure and the 3D shell in Solidworks, ensuring the striker activation switch registers reliably with <10 ms latency. The charging dock will also be designed in Solidworks for 3D printing, with a simple charging interface. What is the power input method for the charging dock? Provide your preferred payment method. I have a 5.0 rating across 10 reviews on here, and Preferred Freelancer status.
