We are developing a facial recognition product and we're looking for a hardware developer to specify, or design the hardware, firmware and codec we'll need to supply day and night vision video, streaming video, streaming 2-way audio, and single images (photos). There will also be a second camera that needs to be able to upload single images to the server. The hardware will need to communicate with our server over wifi. If you can also implement facial recognition programming on the server, that would be worth more to us, and we would increase the budget.
1. First we would like help specifying our prototype hardware. It could simply be a "Raspberry Pi 3", and 2 cameras, or whatever you think will be closest to the production hardware.
2. We want you to create a complete hardware solution, including PCB, cameras, microphone, and everything else that's needed to make a working system. Our primary goal is smooth, reliable performance, at a low cost (our goal is less than $15 USD per unit when we order 500 pieces. Can you help make this happen?). Is this a good fit for you? Can you show us similar work that you’ve done?

10% for the first working prototype using off the shelf components, like Raspberry Pi 3.
30% for first PCB prototype that performs well and delivers all the required features.
40% after 21 days of delivery of the PCBs, if the PCB and Firmware, and codecs meet our requirements, and you have provided support for correcting bugs.
20% after 42 days of delivery of the project, if the PCB and Firmware, and codecs meet our requirements, and you have correcting any problems or bugs. We receive source code and a signed document assigning exclusive rights to any unique source code.
