I need someone to help me with an LED project idea I have - I need an LED that can light up without remote wiring, battery housings, power supplies, etc, but in an extremely small form factor.
I'm talking probably the smallest LED available with the absolute smallest power source attached or included that can fit into a space of approx. 4mm x 4mm. The intensity doesn't have to be crazy bright, but being able to see it light up in a room with other ambient lighting would be needed (can't require complete darkness to function).
Otherwise, not too many other requirements. Would prefer a way to be able to turn the LED on/off... preferably not by shaking it, but possibly by passing a magnet nearby or even the possibility of an extremely small momentary switch that could be activated with a small pen tip or the end of a bent paperclip. Or, if it's possible to generate power to the LED wirelessly when placed within a few feet of the power transmitter, that could work as well... but please remember, it MUST be able to fit in this extremely small space.
It's a pretty easy concept, but maybe too small to create? I've had a few others look at the idea, and thus far no luck. Will require seeing some working examples/samples even if it's through the web.
