I own an electrical appliance of which I want to make an EXACT replica.
Its PCB is ?90x90cm single layer, single face and has ?30 through hole components.
I have determined the full and exact specifications of all parts and components except 2: a transformer ($30) and a triac ($10).
The appliance is expensive (800€), difficult to obtain, not well understood and involved in healthcare.
For those reasons I strictly refuse to unsolder and do active tests on any component, unless it is proved on other components that the testing method is both safe and accurate.
The difficulty will be to deduce the manufacturer’s specification from the measured values which can greatly vary on transformers.
To assist you in your task I will provide you with a list of identified parts, a (3rd party) schematic, photographies of the PCB and components, notes from the designer, multimeter/oscilloscope measurements and eventually discussions with previous engineers.
