The purpose of this document is to provide a general description of deliverables and expectations associated with the design of electrical schematics for a processing and conveying line.
Electrical Engineer will design electrical schematics for a processing and bag conveying system designed to handle 40 lb bags of salt. See attached drawing for details and specifications. All incoming system power will be supplied to a single electrical cabinet and power (both 440 volt / 3 phase for motors and 110 volt for controls) will be distributed to the entire system from this panel. No secondary power source is allowed for any of this supply.
• All electrical components shall be rated for 480v, 3 phase, 60 Hz service. All control panels shall be constructed with 100% UL approved components. Each enclosure shall be designed to meet at a minimum NEMA 4x or IP56 requirements. All wiring and controls shall be installed in the cabinets, properly supported, wires properly routed and numbered.
• All electrical panels shall be constructed from materials suitable for continuous operation in corrosive environments.
• Technical documents and manuals will be provided as part of the deliverables for all components used in association with the packaging and handling system. They include but are not limited to electrical system panel layouts, wiring schematics and pneumatic schematics

Electrical Engineer will provide electrical wiring schematics and panel layouts including:
4-button pushbutton station to be located at filler area; Start, Stop, Manual Dump, E-Stop
1-button pushbutton station to be located at bag stacking station for E-Stop
Motor control panel in polycarbonate 4X enclosure; Fused disconnect, 2 motor starters, relay logic
5 kVA transformer; 480VAC to 120VAC 50 Amp output in Type 4X polycarbonate enclosure
The motor control panel will be wired with an input for 480VAC 60 Amp supply. This power will route through a 3-pole fused disconnect, then distributed to the motor starters and their overloads, and to output terminals to connect to the transformer. The 120VAC output of the transformer will be routed back into the motor control panel, passing through 2 different circuit breakers and to terminals. Breakers are 1 dedicated for the heat sealer, the other for all other 120VAC devices.
8 ga. wire will be used from the motor control panel to the heat sealer. All other AC wiring can be 16 or 14 ga.
As the equipment will be broken down for shipment we require junction boxes between the following points of the system:
At the Gravity Net Weigher power to the 5511 controls
At the take-away conveyor; one for 120VAC and another for the 480 VAC
At the incline conveyor; one for 120VAC (e-stop) and another for the 480VAC
At the Supply Bin with Wiring Between 5511 Controller and Lo Level Inhibit Sensor
At the Supply Bin with Wiring from Hi / Lo Sensors to Junction Box Terminals (Final Field Wiring to be Completed by Customer to Their Up Stream Process Feeding Equipment)
