I am trying to build a circuit that can accurately get raw angle position data on the z-axis.
I am currently using an MPU-6050 gyroscope/accelerometer to get raw angle data on the z-axis. A complementary filter is used to combine accelerometer and gyroscope input to get angle position data. I am willing to share this code with prospective freelancers. The biggest issue is that the angle drifts a lot and is not accurate. Furthermore, when I move the circuit around (for instance: walk around with the circuit board and move it up and down), the angle will be totally inaccurate.
I am unsure why the angle is so inaccurate after I move the circuit around. It could be that I am using the wrong components, wrong gyroscope model, or the algorithm/code to get angle data is flawed. What I am trying to accomplish is to build the prototype of a circuit that can get angle data accurately, like the level feature on Apple iPhones.
If any freelancer is able to build a prototype that can accurately collect raw angle data, please apply for the job. I can purchase components to do testing on my end. I am also willing hire the same freelancer to build PCB files of the prototype after this job is done.
