I have a large rotating package passage that allows the ability to insert an item, rotate the drum 180º to allow the customer to remove the item. Also the same movement of items in the reverse direction.
So the motor needs to be able to rotate a specific number of times and then stop in the with the correct alignment of the drum. Then we need to allow the reverse of that a specific number of rotations to original position. I have read about STEPPER MOTORS and possible something to control the count of steps from 0º to 180º.
The original motor was a 1500 rpm motor 115V and .48 amps. the model is 4RJ20GA-AA and I have just bought a used one but will buy a new Stepper motor if needed.
I think I need help in sourcing the correct hardware and to know what controls it.
