We are looking to have an LED module designed. The module would consist of an array of LEDs and driver circuitry mounted to a metal core PCB. The PCB would be rectangular in shape, approximately 20mm wide x 150mm long. The PCB would have provisions (holes) to mount to a heat sink using a thermal pad and screws. The PCB would have a header to accept DC input.
The LED side of the module will be in an 80C environment. The heat sink side of the module will be at room temperature and will cool passively. The LEDs will be a mixture of 365nm and 405nm wavelength, a 50:50 ratio between the two wavelengths. Radiant power (combined wavelengths) should be in the area of 9 watts. You would be responsible for the complete PCB design, identifying LED and driver components, as well as specifying an appropriate heat sink profile and thermal gap filler to ensure proper operating conditions for all components and the entire PCB assembly. The module will be supplied with constant voltage DC power. Preferably the design would be done in Autodesk Eagle, but that is not a requirement. High quality, long life components should be used.
