I have a linear actuator with a nema 17 stepper motor, as well as two are cylinders to drop a part into a whole. one cylinder grabs the part and the other controls the z axis, ( up and down ) so to speak. Probably would not take a good programmer long and I think I am intelligent enough to relay what I want so it can all be done over freelancer. So if that makes sense, there is a linear rail controller by stepper motor. It makes maybe 4 inches from picking up part to dropping it in while. I am going to install and infrared sensor so it can be timed when it needs to drop the part into the whole. Once again two air cylinders controlled by a solenoid, one grabbing the part (cyl1) then one sucking up 2 inches for clearance(cyl2), then dropping back down again after clearing plate(cyl2) followed by dropping part into the hole(cyl1) before returning home to pick up next part.
