--- PROJECT TITLE Original Indian Mythological Fiction — A New Goddess — Novel / Novella --- What I'm commissioning A full-length original mythological novel — not a retelling of existing Purāṇic episodes but a new story, built with the weight and architecture of the Purāṇas. The narrative centers on a new goddess, fully conceived, whose story has the scale of the epics and the intimacy of the best devotional literature. The tone should feel like Amish Tripathi at his most epic and Devdutt Pattanaik at his most precise — cinematic, elevated, and genuinely sacred. --- **The One Line** A thousand-year-old asura lord spends his entire existence trying to destroy his child — dies at the hands of the child's aunt — gets trapped in her ankle jewelry alongside every assassin he ever sent — and is carried through her entire life until the greatest enemy becomes the greatest devotee. --- The Story Tarunaksha is an asura lord with a divine boon from Brahma making him nearly impossible to kill. When a prophecy declares his own child will destroy him, he begins dispatching demons — Kalakoota, Dhumraksha, Karkodara, Andhakasura his own brother, seventeen in all — toward the infant. He does not know his wife has already run to her elder twin sister and begged at her feet. Give him chances. Give him time. The aunt agrees to eighteen. Every demon Tarunaksha sends is intercepted and bound into a skull bead at her ankle. The wife watches the ankle fill in silence, knowing she is watching her own mercy being spent. Tarunaksha never connects the disappearances to his sister-in-law. He never thinks of her at all — which is the most dangerous thing he ever does. On the eighteenth mistake he reaches for his son's throat in open court. The wife steps aside. The aunt walks to the citadel. What follows is the battle, the threshold, the confession, and the completion — the greatest enemy arriving, bead by bead over a lifetime of carrying, at the feet of the woman his wife ran to in the dark. --- Tone and Scale Epic in battle. Intimate in carrying. Both simultaneously where the story demands it. The scale of the Mahābhārata. The devotional depth of the Devī Bhāgavata Purāṇa. Clean modern English throughout, with Sanskrit terms preserved and lightly glossed where needed. --- How We Will Work First — A one-page synopsis aligning on theme, central conflict, and ending. Second — A full chapter outline across 26 chapters and 8 parts, identifying where Purāṇic conventions are being followed and where creative liberties are being taken. Third — The full manuscript. Delivered in MS Word, proofread and publication-ready. --- What Will Win You This Job Demonstrated knowledge of the Purāṇic tradition — specifically the conventions of boon-granting, asura lordship, divine prophecy, and the theology of the Devī. Cite the texts you would draw on. Epic prose with genuine sacred register — not archaic, not casual. The voice that suits divine characters speaking as divine characters. An understanding that this story is not only a narrative. It is a devotional object. The goddess at its center should feel, by the final pages, like someone the reader wants to return to. --- Acceptance Criteria Consistency with Purāṇic logic and cosmology. Creative additions welcome. Contradictions of core lore are not. A through-line that carries the reader from the prophecy to the completion without losing momentum across any of its eight parts. Proofread, publication-ready text. No placeholders. No unresolved threads. --- Budget / Timeline Open to discussion based on experience with the genre and demonstrated knowledge of the tradition.

Dear Commissioner, I'm Arunmithran, Chennai-based screenwriter and filmmaker with deep roots in Tamil cinema and Purāṇic lore. Raised on family recitations of *Bhāgavata*, *Viṣṇu*, and *Śiva Purāṇa*, and inspired by their epic clashes in films like *Baahubali*, I’m passionate about turning ancient myths into gripping modern narratives. Why I’m the best fit: Mythological expertise: I’ll draw faithfully from key episodes—Samudra Manthan(Bhāgavata Purāṇa) for the churning intrigue, Tārakāmaya War (Śiva Purāṇa) for grand battles, and deva-asura conflicts from Brahmanda Purāṇa—while crafting a fresh, morally complex through-line (e.g., a deva-asura alliance to prevent cosmic collapse). Creative additions stay true—no contradictions. Cinematic epic prose: Vivid, elevated scenes (celestial courts thick with intrigue, volcanic asura battlefields) in accessible modern English. Dialogue feels divine yet dynamic, never archaic. Strong pacing: As a director, I build film-like structure—strong inciting event, escalating multi-world conflicts, climactic showdown. 20–30 chapters with forward-driving beats and Purāṇic rhythm. Process & commitment: 1. One-page synopsis (theme, conflict, ending). 2. Detailed chapter outline citing sources. 3. 80–100k word manuscript in clean modern English, Sanskrit terms glossed.

I read your project description about writing an original Indian mythological fiction novel centered on a new goddess, and I found the concept very interesting. The idea of Tarunaksha, the prophecy, and the aunt carrying the skull beads of the demons is powerful and unique, and I would be excited to help bring this story to life. I am currently a final-year English Honours student from Delhi University, which has helped me develop strong skills in literature, storytelling, and creative writing. I also have experience in content writing, and I enjoy working on projects that involve mythology and deep narratives. I understand that this project needs a tone that feels epic and sacred while still being clear and engaging for modern readers. I will focus on creating strong characters, emotional depth, and a story that follows the logic and structure of the Purāṇic tradition. I can begin with a one-page synopsis and then create a detailed chapter outline as you suggested. After we finalize the structure, I will work on the full manuscript while maintaining the mythological depth and devotional tone of the story. The concept you shared is very powerful, and I would love the opportunity to help develop it into a meaningful and engaging novel. Also, I would like to know if you already have a name and background in mind for the goddess, or if you would like the writer to develop that as part of the story. Thank you for your time. Best regards, Vishal

I understood the core idea ! It's interesting and full of exciting possibilities. Here is what I can propose , a brief expression of my concept for the book~ 1. Introductory episodes of character development - "introduction of the goddess"- .... panting in her heart was controlled ,as if a poisoned lotus had been silently placed on her breasts. She inhaled, her eyes went closed , a wailing gasp that locked all the doors for outside world. Into the realms of mind , within the twilit of heart it's her twin sister Tantranika , the goddess of nectar, the embodiment of laxmi and a vidushi of nectar magic. Words limit! So we can do more of it likewise! Thank you!

Hello, This project immediately stood out to me because it treats mythology the way it should be treated, not just as storytelling, but as a devotional structure. A new goddess must feel like she belongs within the cosmology of the Purāṇas, not like a modern invention placed inside it. The premise you’ve outlined is powerful. The image of Tarunaksha unknowingly becoming one bead among the assassins he sent carries the same karmic symmetry found in texts like the Devī Bhāgavata Purāṇa and Devī Māhātmya. It reflects a core theme of the tradition: arrogance transforming into devotion. My approach would focus on three things: maintaining Purāṇic logic (boons, prophecy, asura cycles), structuring the narrative across the eight-part mythic arc you described, and writing in clean but elevated prose that allows divine characters to feel genuinely sacred. I’m a fiction writer and ghostwriter who specializes in mythic-scale storytelling, balancing epic scope with emotional depth. I would be happy to begin with the one-page synopsis and move into the full outline once we align on the core vision. Best regards, Benjamin

Creating a new goddess with epic scope and intimate devotional resonance is a rare and thrilling opportunity. I have deep familiarity with the Purāṇic tradition, including boon-granting, asura narratives, and divine prophecy, drawing on texts such as the Devī Bhāgavata Purāṇa, Mahābhārata, and select Purāṇic genealogies to anchor story logic while leaving room for imaginative storytelling. Here’s how I propose to deliver: • One-page synopsis: Define central conflict, prophecy, and resolution in alignment with Purāṇic cosmology. • Full chapter outline: 26 chapters across 8 parts, clearly marking where classical conventions are honored and where creative liberty shapes the narrative. • Manuscript: Complete, proofread, publication-ready MS Word document with clean modern English, retaining Sanskrit terms with subtle glosses. My writing style merges epic cinematic sweep (à la Amish Tripathi) with precise devotional clarity (à la Devdutt Pattanaik). I understand this story is more than a narrative; it is a devotional object, where the goddess’s presence should linger beyond the final page. I am prepared to collaborate closely at each stage to ensure fidelity to Purāṇic logic, a compelling through-line, and a sacred, immersive voice throughout. I would love to discuss your timeline and expectations so we can bring Tarunaksha, his prophecy, and his aunt’s divine mercy fully to life.
