I have several MP4 movie files that I want to play in a standard living-room DVD player exactly the way a store-bought disc does. That means a finished VIDEO_RM and VIDEO_TS folder set, complete with fully authored VOB, IFO and BUP files—no single-file shortcuts. Menus, chapter navigation and subtitle streams must all work the same as on commercial releases. If you already possess software that performs this full conversion, I’d like the installer, a concise user guide and a proof-of-concept folder produced from one of my films. If a ready-made tool doesn’t exist, I’m open to a custom solution built with ffmpeg, dvdauthor, mkisofs or any comparable libraries; Windows is my main platform but cross-platform support is a must. The workflow should be simple: drop the MP4 in, receive a burn-ready folder out. Deliverables • Executable software with total indefinite usage rights, and full usage instructions • Pre-sets for both PAL and NTSC sources • Sample conversion demonstrating working menus, chapters and subtitles • Short document confirming compliance with retail DVD structure You will get full rights to use the successful solution, and you'll be free to market it yourself once it works. Feel free to ask for sample footage or any extra technical details you need.

Hello, I have carefully reviewed your requirement for converting MP4 files into fully authored DVD structures, and I understand you need a professional VIDEO_TS and VIDEO_RM folder output with complete VOB, IFO, and BUP files—just like a commercial disc. I have strong experience working with DVD authoring workflows using tools like FFmpeg, DVDAuthor, and MKISOFS, and I can create a reliable, automated solution tailored to your needs. The software will be designed for a simple workflow: input your MP4 file, and the system will generate a fully compliant, burn-ready DVD folder with menus, chapters, and subtitle support. I will ensure compatibility with both PAL and NTSC formats, along with proper encoding, multiplexing, and navigation structure as per DVD standards. Menus will be clean and functional, allowing smooth navigation similar to retail DVDs, including chapter selection and subtitle toggling. If required, I can package this into a Windows-friendly executable with clear instructions, while also ensuring cross-platform compatibility. Before final delivery, I will create a proof-of-concept sample using your footage so you can verify functionality and quality. I will provide full documentation, presets, and support to ensure you can use the system independently without issues. Revisions and refinements will be fully supported until everything works perfectly as expected. Send me a message so I can discuss technical details and show relevant work examples. MD Sher-e Ali

I understand that your primary challenge is converting MP4 files into a fully functional retail-level VOB DVD structure, ensuring compatibility with standard living-room DVD players. This requires meticulous attention to detail, including authored VOB, IFO, and BUP files, along with operational menus and chapter navigation. With over 12 years of experience in software development and multimedia processing, I can leverage tools like ffmpeg and dvdauthor to create a seamless solution tailored for your needs. My approach will include developing an executable that allows users to drop in an MP4 file and receive a burn-ready folder in both PAL and NTSC formats. Moreover, I will provide comprehensive usage instructions alongside a proof-of-concept folder showcasing working menus, chapters, and subtitles to demonstrate compliance with retail DVD standards. Could you share the specifics of the sample footage you'd like me to use for the proof of concept?

Hi — nicer technical problem than most single-file "MP4-to-DVD" tools pretend. The proper retail VIDEO_TS structure (paired .VOB/.IFO/.BUP, working VMG menu, title menus, cell-based chapter navigation, SPU-encoded subtitles) can't be faked — you're right to insist on the full authoring pipeline. Pipeline: 1. ffmpeg: MP4 → DVD-compliant MPEG-2 PS (720x576 PAL @ 25fps or 720x480 NTSC @ 29.97fps, bitrate cap 9.8 Mbps, AC3 audio). Auto-detect framerate for PAL/NTSC. 2. spumux: render subtitles as SPU subpictures from embedded mov_text or sidecar .srt. 3. dvdauthor: title & VMG XML with menu navigation, chapter cells, subtitle stream mapping → VIDEO_TS folder. 4. mkisofs (optional): ISO image for burning. Wrapped as a Windows .exe (Inno Setup installer) bundling portable ffmpeg/dvdauthor/spumux with a minimal GUI — drop MP4, pick PAL/NTSC + menu template, get a burn-ready VIDEO_TS folder. Cross-platform via a Python/Tkinter frontend so the same code runs on Linux/macOS. Two things worth pinning before I commit firmly: 1. Menu design — one template menu auto-built from chapter thumbnails, or per-title custom menus? The latter pushes complexity up noticeably. 2. Subtitles — embedded in the MP4 (mov_text), or sidecar .srt files? €150 / 7 days covers the full pipeline: PAL+NTSC presets, one customisable menu template, POC folder from your sample film, short compliance doc, and indefinite usage rights per your IP agreement. Thanks, Shobha

Hi, This is Gene from Luxembourg You want MP4 files turned into fully authored retail-style DVD structures with working menus, chapters, and subtitles, plus a simple tool to generate them consistently. I’d build a small app using ffmpeg, dvdauthor, and mkisofs wrapped in a clean interface so you can just drop a file in and get a burn-ready VIDEO_TS output. I’ve worked on video processing pipelines and DVD authoring workflows before, including menu creation, PAL/NTSC handling, and packaging into compliant structures for physical playback. I can deliver the executable with full rights, clear instructions, presets for both formats, and a working sample conversion as requested. Delivery would take about 3–4 days for a solid first version with proof of concept. Do you have a preferred style or template for the DVD menus, or should I design a simple default layout? Happy to get started right away.

What you want (menus, chapters, subtitles, proper VIDEO_TS structure) is absolutely doable — but it requires a proper authoring pipeline, not just conversion. Here’s how I’d approach it: First, I’ll build a simple tool (CLI + optional lightweight UI) where you: – drop an MP4 – optionally provide subtitles + chapter markers – choose PAL or NTSC preset – get a fully authored VIDEO_TS folder (VOB, IFO, BUP) ready for burning The pipeline will: – transcode video/audio into DVD-compliant MPEG-2 – generate menus (basic but clean, like standard discs) – create chapters and navigation – mux subtitles into proper DVD streams – author structure via dvdauthor – validate compatibility with standard DVD players Deliverables you’ll get: – executable (Windows first, cross-platform support via Python wrapper or Docker if needed) – very simple “drop → output” workflow – PAL/NTSC presets built-in – proof-of-concept VIDEO_TS from your sample – short doc explaining structure compliance and how to burn/play A couple quick questions before starting: Do you already have subtitle files (SRT/ASS), or should we support auto-generation later? Do you want static menus or something slightly styled (background image, music)? Any preference for UI vs simple drag-and-drop tool?

Hello, I am confident that I can implement the goal. My plan to implement the goal: I will build a fully automated DVD authoring workflow using FFmpeg for video preprocessing and DVDAuthor (or equivalent tools like DVDStyler backend libraries) to generate proper VIDEO_TS structures including VOB, IFO, and BUP files. The system will support menu creation, chapter markers, and subtitle streams, with preset configurations for both PAL and NTSC standards. I will ensure the output is fully compliant with retail DVD structure and playable on standard DVD players. My question: Do your MP4 files already contain subtitle tracks and chapter markers, or should the system automatically generate chapters and allow subtitle import as separate files (SRT/ASS)? Deliverables: • Executable DVD authoring tool with unlimited usage rights • One-click MP4 → DVD folder workflow (VIDEO_TS structure) • PAL and NTSC preset configurations • Working menus, chapters, and subtitle support • Sample proof-of-concept DVD structure from your footage • Short usage and compliance documentation Thanks
