I’m looking for a seasoned DevOps engineer who can hunt down and eliminate unnecessary spend across my AWS estate. Most of the waste today comes from EC2, but I also know we can tighten up how our overall infrastructure is provisioned, how our CI/CD pipelines run, and how our monitoring + logging stack stores and processes data. Here is what a successful engagement looks like for me: • A detailed audit of current EC2 usage, with right-sizing, Spot or Savings Plan recommendations and a clear projection of monthly savings. • Practical tweaks (or rewrites) to our Terraform/CloudFormation so those changes can be applied safely. • Pipeline-level guidance—whether that’s smarter caching, auto-scaling runners, or pruning unneeded stages—to reduce build minutes without slowing releases. • Observability cost controls: log retention policies, metric granularity reviews, and alert tuning so CloudWatch and related tools stay valuable but lean. • A concise, finance-friendly report that translates every technical change into dollars saved, ranked by effort vs. impact. If you’ve previously slashed AWS bills through similar work, I’d love to see it. Share links, graphs, or before-and-after numbers in your portfolio so I can quickly understand the results you deliver.
