So basically we are a Scaffold Hire company. We have a yard and own approximately 1000 ton of scaffold material. This equates to 10’s of thousands of items that are constantly being transported in and out of our yard to various construction sites, where they may remain for anywhere from 4 weeks to 52 weeks.
We have no proper stock management system in place at this time. We require a spreadsheet based system (this will be fine for now until we have all stock recorded properly) creating in order for us to monitor our hire material.
I have attached a few examples to give you an idea of what we need. I have quickly made up “EXAMPLE STOCK TAKE SPREADSHEET SCAFFOLDING”. That is the kind of thing we need. The excel sheet named “EXAMPLE inventory-stock-control-a” is one I downloaded from the internet to use, but it is too hard for me to re-configure it. I like the idea of how this is laid out for overall stock monitoring though.
Looking to have this done in a simple manner, no servers or cloud servers, just an access database that sits on my PC to access this data from excel. Or to be able to access it from a central location if we decide to move it to a shared hard [url removed, login to view] want it very simple - excel driven and something we can just input data into and run some reports from.
