Person picks their fruits and veggies from the current WFG garden planner. (these are based on what grows in their location and when- this info is already on worldfoodgarden.org.)
Then we place the chosen plants on a general area visual map (based on 4ft wide garden Beds)
according to their companions, nemesis, shade needs and height, each
with the same spacing at first, and inside each area will be the value
number for: the square ft of space, the number of plants that fit in
that area, the pounds of harvest expected from that planting and the
# of calories from that amount of that particular plant and the
amount of square feet they have to work with.
The trick will be that the person then will have to have the
capability to move around (click and hold) the lines which indicate
where one plant starts and another begins, and as they do this the
value numbers inside each area, which detail the number of
plants/calories from each plant for that size are, will change
accordingly. So basically a person can sort of play around with the map in order to tweak what they are going to plant according to calories, yield in pounds, and space in the garden. And maybe later on we could even add an average pricing or a field where they can add what these seeds actually cost and how much they can sell the produce for in their location.
