We have a PBX phone system. We need someone to answer calls and provide a human voice (no computer automated voices) to the caller and transfer them to the right place. The call will be forwarded to your number, and you will then do a transfer (assisted if possible) to the right number. You will also have to call some companies with an employee on the line (usually me, and when they pick up, we need you to just say something like: we have "----- ---" on the line for you.
The phone number that you will be handling is our public number, so we usually do not get that many calls to it as usually the people that are calling us are using back line numbers. Probably only like 15-20 per week. You will be an independent contractor because you must use your own phone, and you are responsible for any phone charges that occur on your phone bill. If you are located outside of the US, you will need to find some way so that we can complete the transfers and do everything like that with a US phone number (like get a virtual US phone number). You will need to figure that out because we don't know how, but i know its possible. You will need to be available 9am to 6pm eastern united states time monday thru friday. in a pm-let me know where you are located, and please confirm that you will be available during this time to answer calls and forward them.
in a pm, send me a sample of your telephone speaking voice in mp3 format. (or another format that i can use on my windows pc without any additional software).
in a pm, also send me your price per hour. (we pay by the hour) if you don't give me this information, i cant take your bid seriously, as i will have no idea what you are looking for. we add up all the time that you spent on the phone for us (rounding up to the next minute) and thats how we calculate time. for example, if you spent 1.2 minutes on the phone twice, we round them both up to two minutes and then add them (i.e. you get paid for 4 minutes, not 3 minutes).--we round up before adding them. if you have to take a message and email us the message, we add an additional two minutes to all the phone calls. (2 minutes for each message)
payment is made at the end of the month (we pay once a month). (its actually made a couple days after the month ends because we need to verify time).
you will need to add up all the time spent, and send it to us with the final bill at the end of each month, and we will simply verify it.
you will have to sign a contract, and also fill out the appropriate tax forms (we will let you know which one(s) we need from you). if you cannot do either of the following, please do not bid.
