I have a fun pet project I set up every year related to the Academy Awards.
Normally, this time of year I run a simple shell script that asks me to enter the nominations one at a time and continues to ask me questions about the films, etc. Then the script builds two different SQL statement that I then import into my databases. It works beautifully but it's a lot of work.
This year I thought I'd try automating it one more step so that all I need is a CSV file with the data in it and I run a script and it's done.
BUT building the CSV file still takes more time than I have to invest.
What I need is for someone to search the web for the information I need and enter it into a spreadsheet.
I will work out the details with you via PMB, but what I need is a record for each film nominated for any award (or any film for which an actor, song, score, etc. is nominated for). I don't need one record for each nomination - just one record per film.
For each record, I need the following fields ...
Part of the IMDB URL
Part of the NetFlix URL
Part of the Moviefone URL
[url removed, login to view]'s ASIN (there are options here we'll work out in PMB)
[url removed, login to view]'s Image URL (also options)
NOTE: I do NOT need the script written. I've been a programmer for almost 30 years and a script like the one I need is the kind of thing I write every day. ALL I NEED is the data.
