Bear Pit Attendance

We are a student organization of approaching 1000 members and in dire need of a more efficient attendance taking system. Previously we have used pen and paper to check-in each member in and the we attempted to tally attendance up at the end of the year. As we have grown it has become impossible to do this accurately any longer. There is a multitude of different attendance and time-tracking software and hardware out there, but we need something much simpler than what is offered at most companies. We are looking to buy magnet card readers because all members already have magnetic i.d.'s and hopefully incorporate that into a system that will mark them present. We would like to be able to run reports at the end of a season that could tell us how many people were present on certain dates, or have the option of telling us how many dates a single person attended. Ideally, we will easily be able to add people to the system or take them out of the system. We have not bought any equipment yet, so we are very open to suggestions, but like the idea of containing scanners (bar-code readers, or magnetic cards readers) that could late be uploaded into a computer. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Because we have not bought any equipment yet we are very flexible. We are open to suggestions, but functionality and low cost are our top two priorities.
