**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Develop a data strategy that defines the capabilities for data acquisition, integration, transformation, data-ops, governance, insights, and consumption of actionable data
- Develop Data Models for nosql databases such as DynamoDB, neo4j
- Provide data solutions to customer facing microservices/APIs
- Address performance and scalability issues
**Desired Candidate Profile**
- Strong hands-on experience with architecture and data modeling of any one or the more of the following:
- AWS DynamoDB
- Graph databases such as neo4j and/or AWS Neptune
- S3/Athena
- This is NOT a DevOps or database admin or programmer role - Please don't apply if you don't have previous data architecture/modeling experience with focus on high volume database transactions
- Must be able to design database/data architecture with focus on optimizing queries, maximizing performance of distributed, highly available, eventually consistent solutions
- Must have good documentation skills related to database design/model & related reference reference architecture, proposals
- Must have previous experience working in/with data engineering, data science, analytics teams
- Preferred:
- AWS cloud experience (EC2, S3, Lambda, EMR, RDS, Redshift)
- Experience in ETL and ELT workflow management
- Familiarity with AWS Data and Analytics technologies such as Kinesis, Glue, Athena
- Experience with streaming related technologies ex Spark streaming or other message brokers like Kafka is a plus
